Canada had next to no debt when he took over

This is wrong and it's not even close to being right.

I mean, the Harper Conservatives ran deficits every single year they were in power, which is unacceptable when you realise that their first few years were prior to the Great Recession, which were some of the biggest boom years in recent memory. Take a look at that graph and notice how high Canadian debt spikes during the Harper years. That's a gain steeper than any in Canadian history, comparable only to the Mulroney governments of the 80s (incidentally also Conservatives), which gave way to Chretien and the Liberals paying down the debt in the 90s.

Trudeau has slowed the debt gain and has us leading the G20 in economic performance. Hard to argue with those numbers. I'm hopeful he'll start paying down the debt and nixing deficits now that the economy is humming again, but we'll see.

Hasn't done much besides take photo ops.

Senate reform? Carbon tax? Legalized medically-assisted suicide? Hell, he got rid of the ridiculous restrictions on government scientists speaking about their work and restored the long form census, which were two of Harper's dumbest moves.

Which is all without touching his less-flashy but no less important moves. To say he's done nothing is simply incorrect.
