That guy screams for help because he can't feel his legs. That fire drowns out someone else's cries of anguish. Then the last soldier wheezes out, "We were helping." Leading to the shot with the mother and child... like a sick, inverted portrait of the Madonna, it's an image that will haunt me forever. Lugo and Adams' fight in the background is incredible too -- two sides of Walker's psyche screaming for his attention, but like the sound editing shows, he's too numb to even acknowledge them.
