It's difficult to resolve such a thing when the experiences were that bad. I've had decent relationships with decent women after all of that before, but I'm still very afraid of most girls I meet. It's not as bad as it used to be.

The thing that makes it the toughest to deal with is that I feel like I have no where and no one to talk to about it. Also my facebook feed and plenty of other outlets occasionally have some rather misandric posts about rape culture and violence against women which almost always makes me feel extremely nervous and uncomfortable because of the rather generalized accusatory phrasing of these PSA's. That and how if I mention what I've been through and that I do respect that what they're saying is an issue I don't respect that it's overly generalized as if all men are guilty of this sort of thing because I've been beaten up and sent to the ER because people have the mentality that all men are potentially horrible human beings to such an extent they'll hospitalize you without question or due process or any facts or evidence you deserve what you've gotten.

Even after that I'm told I'm horrible for saying "not all men" or questioning the ramifications or acting as if all men are evil.

So, I sorta just try to avoid places that post things like that, cause it mostly just makes me feel more nervous and a lot worse. But I don't want to avoid those places because I very much am for their cause and reducing these things from happening. It's just a bit hard to be around a group of people when it feels like they're constantly saying you're a horrible person because you're a guy... I don't know. But that [censored] stresses me out a lot.
