That's technically true on both accounts, but it's not generally how the rest of the world considers them. I hadn't ever given that a lot of thought but, in general, the racial division system is kinda wack. Golden Road posted... It's hard to say definitively. As much as Europe likes to pretend that the US invented racism, and how they don't have racism over there, they also have Zwarte Piet. That and racism predates the US by thousands of years. Honestly, it'd be ridiculous to claim that the US is more racist than South Africa whose apartheid -- which made Jim Crow look tame by comparison -- didn't even end until 1991. Not more racists per capita, though. The overwhelming majority in South Africa were the victims of that racism, not the perpetrators. And you don't think that victimization hasn't informed racial attitudes in the nation? Keep in mind that our country still talks about slavery like it happened yesterday.
