Yeah dudes I honestly dont even know how Ive lasted as long as I have in retail. Idk, I guess I can just take things at face value and learn how to deal with things.
Ive never really had any career ideas or goals... and this is going back as far as I can remember lol. I like to keep things simple, I dont identify myself by my career so I guess thats why Ive been able to do this as long as I have. Its a blessing and a curse.
Just basically want enough to get by and get the hell home so I can spend time with people I care about.
See this is exactly it. I see people who are successful but theyre also stressed to the max, working all the time, constantly worrying, constantly tired, constantly miserable. To me that isnt success.
Ive always just wanted something that paid the bills and let me live my life and do the things I enjoy. I dont want to get stuck working 60 hours a week with a long commute and have no time for anyone or anything.
If you're stuck in retail when you have a family and trying to make ends meet, odds are you're eventually going to have to end up working 50-60 hours per week. ---
