Or there's also the chance that they turned around just because it was time to turn around and you happened to be there. Or alternatively, Just run up behind them full-tilt. If you time it right, they'll hear you and turn around but you can still dispatch them before they can go ! Oh, I didn't know that L-stick walking was different from dpad walking.
