I've always hated hearing about this kind of stuff, but my girlfriend is a filmmaker who's just started working union gigs so I'm hearing about a lot of this first-hand now too. It's really fucking tough because I want to be happy for her working in the industry that she's worked so long to get in... but I also know it's virtually guaranteed that she's going to be sexually harassed by her bosses and that HR is completely useless and often in on the harassment as well. There's already been a few minor things I'm not OK with, so I'm hoping all this attention is going to cause people to straighten up a bit. Also, what Inviso said.
