There are a ton of different variations (brand and generic) of the pill since it isn't one size fits all. Are they all going to be available OTC? Most insurance plans don't seem to cover OTC. How expensive will it be? The cash price for some of them can get up there. If you don't need to see a doctor to purchase it, then how do you know women will get the right one? All you're doing is putting more women at risk of having unwanted children and/or getting sick. That puts a bigger financial strain on society, which is not what the conservative legislators who support such ideas claim to want. Best-case scenario: More women would opt for something that would have to be prescribed, like an IUD, if they have insurance and a low co-pay. The birth control mandate was one of the few absolutely good things that came from Obama care.
