It's the reason Jeff Zero wasn't excited about X to begin with X had a story and it had a lot of gameplay and it had a lot of deep structure which was bad. It's not like they executed perfectly on a game with intentionally no story. It tried a bunch of stuff, including story, and failed really hard on a lot of it. Really terribly. If they actually thought all that stuff was good, then I would be highly skeptical of Xeno 2. If they knew all that shit sucked and it was just an open world cash grab, then good.
