| Zeeky_Bomb 10/19/17 9:10:16 PM #151: | Quite a bit. Trailer Park Boys captures the lower Maritime accent (New Brunswick/Nova Scotia). Upper Maritime accent is basically Newfoundland, and for that accent, imagine a Scottish person trying to impersonate a Canadian accent. Quebec is odd. Montrealers who grow up learning English have a very neutral accent, similar to an Ontario accent (which I'll get to in a second). If you didn't grow up speaking English, you definitely have an accent similar to a French accent, which is only natural. Quebec French, if you're curious, is much harsher and faster than Parisian. Southern Ontario accents are very similar (oddly) to a Californian accent. Most Canadians you'd see in popular media will likely have this accent. Oddly, Letterkenny is based off a small, southern Ontarian town (Listowel, which is an hour away from where I grew up), and I have never heard that accent before. Northern Ontario/Manitoba accents I can't really speak to. Saskatchewan is the stereotypical Canadian accent (aboot and eh). Not as bad as everyone says, but that's likely where it came from.
