It's pretty fucked but I bet if I loaded a mag and took it out it would function. I'm going to cut it up and build it on a new receiver though.

It's built from a Romanian 'G' kit. Basically, they were rifles originally made for the Romanian Patriotic Guard, they have a G crudely engraved on the rear sight block (last pic). Since the rifles couldn't be imported into the US, they were cut up, imported and sold as kits. To build the kit you need a way to install the rivets and remove/reinsert the barrel into the front trunnion, usually done with a shop press. You also need a new receiver which is technically the firearm. All federal and local laws apply of course.

Whoever built this did an amazingly shitty job. The rear trunnion rivets look like absolute shit, the front trunnion is installed using screws, one hole is missing the screw and is egged out really bad and the trigger guard has two rivets and then one screw (should have 4 rivets). I could easily triple my money on this as a kit but I think I will rebuild it. Hell, unbuilt G kits go for $450-$500 anymore.
