Here are some sample contract offers that I will accept, including more simple approaches:

- 4 / $7.00 mil / $1.40 mil
- 5 / $9.00 mil / $2.00 mil
- 3 years default, +$1 mil total salary, +$500k signing bonus
- 2 years default

When you give me an offer, you are giving me your consent to offer the player the closest deal that he will consider, meaning that if you offer 4 / $6.00 mil / $2.00 mil and he will only consider it when it is 4 / $6.50 mil / $2.00 mil, I will offer him the latter. If that does not sit well with you, then you have the simpler options I previously laid out or you may explicitly say to not offer the contract unless he will consider those exact financials.

When you PM me the offers, I want you to PM me a header that says "[Your Team]'s Offers" so that I don't accidentally open them. I am the Dolphins' GM, so there could very well be some conflict of interests, and thus the best way around that is for me to not open those PMs until it is time to put in the offers and sim the game. I have default PM settings, so you can all tell if and when I open a PM of yours. If a fellow GM would like to volunteer to receive my PM offers to show that I am being fair and impartial, that would be great. If not, I hope that means you all trust me.

Under no circumstances may you ask me if so and so player will consider a certain deal or anything of that nature. You may ask me general questions regarding free agency, but nothing that goes against the spirit of free agency or give you a competitive advantage. If you do have a question, I prefer that you use the topic. If you wish to ask me via PM, make sure to be clear you are asking a question or I may not read it out of caution of it being a list of contract offers.

There are two types of contracts that I will never, ever accept

1. Any mention of the word "Maximum" relating to total salary or signing bonus.
2. A massive one year contract

The first one has in fact happened in the past, and I had to throw it out as it is both unfair in the laziest of ways and also impossible when it comes to total salary.

The second one is also unfair for teams with lots of cap space to also maintain artificial flexibility for future seasons by using up a lot cap space this season and then signing the player to an uncontested market value contract the following offseason, which then allows them to repeat this process as many times as they can/want.

Also, due to fairness issues, any cuts you make during free agency must be sent in:
96 hours prior to the end of Period 1
48 hours prior to the end of Period 2
Not allowed in Period 3
