I'm as a big a SW fan as anybody, I have so much SW shit around my house it's sad, but I will say the one thing I no longer love about the franchise is the endless "mysteries" and twists about each character etc etc. The franchise has always been chasing the "No, I am your father" moment since ESB and it's unnecessary. It's Space Opera, so on one hand I don't mind the twists still being a part of it. And from a practical standpoint, part of it is probably by design because everyone is making the story up as they go along (including Lucas back in the day). And the the "mysteries" allow them leeway to figure shit out down the line in the next movies. But it's now become the focal point of the series as a hook, and it's annoying. ...
