Are you sure you enjoyed Blade Runner 2049?

thinking back to last night when I watched it, I enjoyed it even more

i thought there was too much action and sometimes the music was too edgelord for me, and Jered Leto's character was sort of annoying, but otherwise very good.

i like how we still don't know if Deckard was a replicant or not

I actually agree on the too much action. the junkyard scene was cool but I felt like it could have done without an action scene there. although I see the flip side that people said it would have been too boring

the music was spot on though, it reminded me of interstellar

I came in wanting to enjoy the aesthetics and I was not disappointed.

I lol'd at the holographic dancers on the streets. that was intense

when the 3D pink haired woman came out of the side of the building and pointed at gosling, that was incredible. to feel so small with a hologram that large

aesthetics was on point

I didn't like the pregnancy angle.

I was reading some reviews that said the film should have touched more on Joi/K romance, replicants uprising, and the blackout. which I kinda agree with, or at least should have featured more promimently. but baby replicants angle was also intriguing since it kept the idea going of (if) deckard is a replicant going and if his sole purpose was to have a baby

@Parappa09 do I need to have seen the original blade runner to enjoy this? going to see the movie this weekend with my brother and hes a huge fan of the original, but idk if ill have time to watch it

i'd watch the first one before getting into 2049 just to see if you enjoy the series, rather than missing out on the narrative. story wise you're fine not watching the first, but there's some cool parts you'd enjoy if you did see #1

the reason why I say this is because blade runner is like marmite. you either love it or hate it, and it's not a film for everyone
