Agreed. I feel if a country actually wants to support a humanitarian issue, it should plan out a long-term, sustainable method to cure the issue permanently and all tax deductable charity donations should go to fill the account for executing the plan.

It's idiotic and wasteful to throw money at idealistic but powerless well-wishers and corrupt money-grabbers to solve problems. If governments want to look like they care about these problems they should be forced to make sure these problems are actually properly dealt with.

I feel that charities should only be exist to raise awareness to governments and put countries with shared interests in touch. They shouldn't be trusted to handle money.
