I mastered all currently available magicites before legend diving anyone (except Tyro whom I didn't even use there). Our weekly events are not hard enough to require 5* motes. Hell, after lots of retries, and re-arranging accessories, Magicites, and RM, I managed to down Hydra in 29:30 with a party with no 5* mote investments.
