I think Onizuka is a good character most of the time, and I like some of the themes, particularly when it comes to him having compassion and making a difference in the lives of his students, even if it means doing things unconventionally. The show feels kind of meandering at times though and doesn't feel like it has a real sense of direction with where it wants to go and what it wants to be.
