One of the whales on the ffbe board explained the whole Ayaka thing really well. Tilith can make she now, but there will be things in the future where you're going to need something better to be comfortable. Ayaka is the only rainbow on her banner, and is still even with CG Fina as the best healer in JP. You don't want to have to bring a healer as a friend unit when you could be bringing a fully geared DPS with killers. As far as units of choice and 5* tickets go, we're lucky they gave us anything here since Gumi is the victim in this case. Nearly 6k lapis plus some other stuff is outstanding considering the length of the downtime.
