Final Fantasy has the whole rule of threes with female characters: you've got the female lead (usually some sort of healer or summoner), the young perky girl, and the "older" more badass girl. I, with few exceptions, LOVE the "badass girl" archetype in FF. Faris, Celes, Tifa, Quistis, Freya, Fran, Fang. Lulu's the only real flop in my opinion.
