I know when I am not attracted to conventionally attractive girls it's often purely my fault, but it's still a valid and useful data point to ask why exactly there isn't attraction. Especially if you're actively trying improve yourself and attract more people. Why would you ignore data in that case, even if it's weak? I mean it's more a thing that happens - "no romantic connection" is basically "I don't want to see you again but you're not Satan or anything", not something to really take to heart.
