The Curt Schilling point is a bad one because Schilling was told multiple times to cut it out and kept doing it. Then he was suspended multiple times and kept doing it. Finally, he was fired. That's a bit different than what I believe is Hill's first offense?

Did Schilling ever do something as bad as call the President a white supremacist? What did Ditka do? Etc.

I mean, you either back their right to say what they want or you don't.

Imagine if Schilling called Obama a Black Panther on air. Does his job survive?

Schilling made many racist and bigoted comments over the time where he received warnings/suspensions, so...

There's no contradiction. Schilling wasn't fired for his first remark. He was fired for like, his thirtieth. He was becoming a major problem for the company and had been given multiple chances to stop, and he chose not to.
