Fam_Fam posted...Mead posted...Fam_Fam posted...Mead posted...What a couple of tools, acting offended over a guy making a lighthearted joke about how he likes boobs you should be aware of the environment you are in. if we was on his radio show, then obviously that's fine. if he was on someone else's radio show, and that's how they talk, and what their audience is interested in...fine. but if you are going on CNN and talking about news, I think it's clear that the comments he made don't really have a place there. Also, the opinion he was asked to give were about the ESPN commentator who was fired, and he gave those opinions in a perfectly fine way. However, he threw in that comment that was inappropriate, and irrelevant to the debate. And that's what was unnecessary, and what derailed the whole thing. (Admittedly, she could have moved on). What does that comment have to do with the ESPN situation, or his opinion on it? Nothing. It's irrelevant, and was made to create some buzz, which he did well. So I think he's successful at doing what he was intending to, but I don't think that's a mature, professional way to act on a national NEWS outlet (not a tabloid, or a radio show). If he was at an open mic, perhaps he could have went with that joke, but he was on the news, and should act like a professional when put in that situation. However, he was doing exactly what he wanted there, which was not to focus on the issue he was brought to talk about. This is evidenced when he continues to repeat it, rather than to say hey lets just agree to disagree and continue talking about the issue. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
