What a couple of tools, acting offended over a guy making a lighthearted joke about how he likes boobs

who in the world would actually be offended by that

it was completely irrelevant. and he could have apologized when he realized his "joke" was not appreciated. He obviously was trolling her, which is not really appropriate for a serious debate.

He had no reason to apologize for anything

He made a joke about himself, it had nothing to do with her despite the producers in their ears telling them to try and twist it that way

you don't think its an unprofessional thing to say on TV in a news debate?

Not really no. The guy doesn't work for CNN or the news, he is just a man with an opinion.

If CNN only wants droll professionals on air maybe they should stick with their own correspondence or do a little homework on the random radio hosts that they invite on their programs.

They're acting like he is out of line when really the two of them are being childish.

you should be aware of the environment you are in. if we was on his radio show, then obviously that's fine. if he was on someone else's radio show, and that's how they talk, and what their audience is interested in...fine. but if you are going on CNN and talking about news, I think it's clear that the comments he made don't really have a place there. Also, the opinion he was asked to give were about the ESPN commentator who was fired, and he gave those opinions in a perfectly fine way. However, he threw in that comment that was inappropriate, and irrelevant to the debate. And that's what was unnecessary, and what derailed the whole thing. (Admittedly, she could have moved on).

What does that comment have to do with the ESPN situation, or his opinion on it? Nothing. It's irrelevant, and was made to create some buzz, which he did well. So I think he's successful at doing what he was intending to, but I don't think that's a mature, professional way to act on a national NEWS outlet (not a tabloid, or a radio show). If he was at an open mic, perhaps he could have went with that joke, but he was on the news, and should act like a professional when put in that situation. However, he was doing exactly what he wanted there, which was not to focus on the issue he was brought to talk about. This is evidenced when he continues to repeat it, rather than to say hey lets just agree to disagree and continue talking about the issue.

Wouldn't it have been more offensive if he said he didn't believe in boobs? Women's rights to have boobs and whatnot. Being pro-boobs is women's empowerment.

But really, I don't think it was a big deal, but he looked like a goof there. Should have stayed on topic.

I agree with this. Her overreaction gave him the edge. He looked like s goof for saying something unrelated to the question, but he came out victorious because the host overreacted.

I had no problem with Baldwin kicking him off the show, but I did have a problem with her pulling the "as a woman," like women aren't people, but an identity for her to win arguments. I also had a problem with the other feeling the need to defend Baldwin as if she were a delicate flower incapable of defending herself.

after seeing CNN do coverage and more or less faking a rally (basically got a bunch of people to crowd into a tiny area panned the camera in close to make it look like a large packed tight group of people), I wouldn't be surprised if they paid the man to make such a comment. not saying people like that don't exist but the chances of them being stupid enough to say it on live tv or even getting on tv to begin with is slim.

There's no jokes allowed on CNN's super serious sports talk.

He's the only one that WAS staying on topic. Dude kept talking about the subject for like 30 seconds after the joke, while the black dude went into panicked virtue signal mode and the chick kept talking about the joke.
