I thought they were more lenient on lovers. That's sad. Understandable I guess. But sad. Zeus posted... She's 18. She's been working at least 2 years according to the article, probably more on top of that. She's also a student which means, in theory, she COULD have chosen to apply for a student visa (which again would likely involve her leaving the country until it was approved) which from there she might have applied for permanent status. Working around is different from having an employer sponsor you for citizenship. They use the phrase "highly educated" about every other sentence to make sure you know it's not for everyone.
