I say it was a complete waste because I was too tired to be able to pull off perfect chains with Tidus, and without a shared element my damage was pretty paltry, so I doubt I would've been able to get through the trial. But I may be able to pull it off, assuming I won't run into too many hiccups and can actually chain properly. I'll probably have to skip using Tidus' support skills, as I need as much damage as I can get, but it might just be doable.
