It was a cost saving effort as using a 32 piece orchestra to score 22 episodes a season can be expensive. I'm not sure how long The Simpson's has left in its historic run. They just got a contract extension last year, but once that's over so may be The Simpson's. In good news Ric Flair is in Rehab, (Not foe the booze and drugs) and seems to be out of the woods for the life and death part of his recovery.
