The regulations were only there for NEW structures. It did not affect the Harvey victims one way or another, this is just political posturing in order to attack Trump on the backs of the victims.

It doesn't currently affect them but anything they now build to replace flood damaged structures will directly affect them in future, that was the whole point of the changes.

Anyways, those regulation are dumb because they had to do with climate change, meaning, because of climate change fiction, new infrastructure is harder to be built.

In order to build it, the regulations were removed. But Trump said the infrastructure would be built to the highest standards.

Except for higher standards of flood proofing in what is now known to be a flood prone area, good call.
