I think people further left than me (probably the majority here?) would say it doesn't go far enough to repudiate Trump but I like the brainstorming that he's doing. The best point here is that conservatives WANT libs to transform this into a debate about Confederate statues--because the left will lose that debate and it distracts from the main point of white supremacists supporting the president Uh, they're winning the debate if we're going by whether or not statues are being taken down. Until there is major blowback in NC, VA, etc because voters will wrongly associate Trump with the defense of complex historical figures instead of associating him with the defense of simple contemporary evil.
