I thought about the words to say, but struggled to really come up with anything, any excuses, reasons for my loss. I lost. I am no longer Undisputed Champion, that's all there is to it.

Hats off to Strife, who has earned every second he'll spend with that title. He battled me like no other has, tested me both in the ring and with his words, always my equal, always pushing me to do better. For the first time as Champion, I felt like I wasn't talking at someone, felt like the matches weren't just a formality as I went through the list of superstars here. It's tough to stand here empty-handed, but there isn't a superstar who I'd rather lose to.

If I'm being honest, I feel lost, unsure where to go next in my shortened career.

This Money in the Bank briefcase...

will stay closed, for awhile, I think.

As the door slowly closes on all of us here, I realize that I don't have time for meaningless wars that go nowhere. I've been at the top long enough to know that it's where I belong.

I will become Undisputed Champion again, and I'll earn it, just as I did the first time.

It may not be in the near future, and it may not even be against Strife, but if I have anything to say about it at all, I will rise back before this is all over.
