I don't jump straight to "this didn't happen," because I don't really care enough to conclude one way or another, but I enjoy pointing out things that don't make sense in his not-really-plausible stories. It honestly scares me a little bit that you DON'T jump straight to "this didn't happen". Not because it's particularly believable, but because it so utterly inconsequential that I don't need a conclusion. If asked to make a clear guess one way or the other? I'd guess that it's probably not happening. But am I going to make such a guess proactively? Nah, I don't care enough for that. That, and the effect this topic would have on my opinion of Erik wouldn't really change regardless of the story's veracity. Either way, it's a sad example of attention whoring.
