What the hell was the author smoking? LOL, definitely check this manga out if you haven't already, I really like it so far. I agree that Bobobo-bo bo-bobo is really funny, I used to read it when it was in Shonen Jump. Although the humor like you said- comes from the absurdity of it, so not everyone would enjoy that.
