Only if it shows that slavery would be still a thing in the nation, documenting the harsh realities because the south is so regressive and would hold progression back massively. Slavery wouldn't be a thing still though. Even back then slavery wasn't going to be feasible for much longer. The idea of a hypothetical confederacy still having slavery in 2017 is ludicrous. Yeah, free labor would become infeasible!
