Perhaps early Laurrel K Hamilton as well (first bunch are great).

Might try some of Terry Pratchets books, they are fun comedy/fantasy books. Color of magic I think was the first, although I like some of the later books more).

The Dresden Files are overhyped. Take it from someone who is on the lest book in the series.

The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson is MUCH better.


I have re-read the Dresden books as every book was released, and a few extra times as well (now that he's not releasing new books very often......sigh.

It is my favorite series.

It may not be as great for everyone, but I am far and away not the only person who loves it.

Don't get me wrong, tons of other series I really love, and other authors, he is just my favorite, and has been for at least a decade.
