I had a shift once that was supposed to finish at a certain time but the delivery came late and we were asked to stay on longer. I simply told the manager that that's simply not possible and I got the third degree from him as to why. In the end I still finished when I originally was supposed to as that's when my shift ended. Not several hours later.
