I don't really know anything about Pokemon, so I didn't know what should count as part of the main series. I do know enough about Mario spinoffs to feel that they shouldn't count. There are so many Mario Kart and Party games that you can clearly differentiate them as a spinoff series, although there are apparently way more Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games than I realized. I figured stuff like that was more of a one-off and didn't give it much forethought

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is basically a re-skin of another franchise with Pokemon elements and a different frame of reference since it always involves a character turned into a Pokemon. It's a fairly large spinoff at this point. A lot of the others just went one or two games, although I guess PBR is kinda the same thing as Stadium so that's 3 games there (Coliseum, despite the name, is completely different).
