I gave it a chance at the behest of a friend and it was easily one of the least pleasant games I've played. I bailed on it when I first tried it. I'm sure there was interesting plot and fun gameplay at the beginning, but it was all suffocated by the absolute worst love story I have ever endured. An obnoxious love triangle involving bland stereotypes played out in the most trite, predictable, boring, incessant tale ever. Eventually I couldn't take anymore and just hit the power button. My friend took over and got me to a later point in the game. It wasn't any more enjoyable. Two of the characters were endearing to me, but I don't even remember their names. The gameplay still used the HSM1 rpg-style: "Stick to the Status Quo!" The boss was just overdramatic. FFVI was awful and I hate it too.
