| Far-Queue 07/11/17 9:30:17 PM #4: | Drugs should be legalized, across the board. Not saying there shouldn't still be consequences for drug use. Employers should still be able to refuse to hire you, or fire you if you're caught using on the job, should still be penalties for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, or endangering others, etc. But jail is no place for a drug addict. Legalizing drugs would enable oversight, regulation, and taxation, while keeping our jails from becoming overcrowded, and our police forces from being overworked and allowing them to focus on real crimes. Same goes for prostitution. That said, this judge should lose her job if the drug use thing holds water. You can't be a sitting judge, sentencing people for crimes you're committing yourself.
