I ask myself the same question all the time. And by that, I mean "Why the fuck do still people listen to the radio", which I assume is what you also meant, but too many people here took your question literally.

My guess as to why would be the same reason I still listened to it for so long: convenience. If a car has some kind of stereo, then at minimum it has a radio. Even if it has other options, some people don't always like bothering with getting their CDs or auxiliary devices going. After I upgraded to a stereo with aux and USB ports, I still would put it on the radio as my "default" when I wasn't using my phone, even though I already knew I hated the radio at that point.

Then one day, about a year ago, I decided to just turn the radio off entirely, and I've never looked back. I just keep it on aux and I don't connect my phone for every drive, but I've realized that silence is much better than the shitty radio.
