I had my hair bleached blond years ago, but because my hair is so naturally dark and thick, they basically had to bleach it twice for it to actually look blond instead of orange-y.

In fact, the guy doing it said I probably should have it done a third time to really look the way it was supposed to, but also pointed out that bleaching it a third time was probably a terrible idea because it would likely damage my hair to the point of being a frizzy mess forever.
