The rest is up to the individual. The afterlife is a product of belief in some form of divine entity. Unless you necessarily believe there is a scientific explanation for an afterlife, then you necessarily have to believe in some part of a product of the divine. You can't say, "Oh, I don't believe in God but I do believe that some guy rose from the dead after three days and ascended into the sky".
