Too bad the professor decided to talk about white people being oppressed rather than taking your advice and just conducting business as usual. Whether or not you agree with the protest, there's no way the professor shouldn't have known that his words would spark outrage unless he were a complete idiot. There's a difference between this professor talking about the problems with the way this day was being handled versus calling it oppression. It's a delicate issue that the professor handled poorly.
