| Topic | Can any sci fi readers help me find/identify this book? |
| Foppe 06/02/17 1:13:27 PM #14: | Can I steal this topic for a while? I try to remember the name of a children (?) scifi-book that I think I read in the early 90s. It started with a guy on earth that gets a call and learns that some distant (?) relative died. He inserts some kind of atm card in the phone and inherit a "small fortune" (I want to believe that it was called credits or something like that), which he uses to buy a small spaceship that he reconfigurates. I think it was a small freighter that he turned into a passenger ship. Or the other way around. ...aaand thats everything I remember... There might have been something about picking up a girl and leaving the solar system and trying to find something to save humanity or something like that, but Im not sure if Im still in the same book now... --- GameFAQs isn't going to be merged in with GameSpot or any other site.
