You know Bush and Obama both said dumb things too, and don't get me started on Clinton

The thing is, most of the time when George "They misunderestimated me" Bush and Barack "57 states" Obama said things, it was often just inelegant speaking and/or a slip of the tongue - it was readily apparent what they were trying to say. Obama didn't actually think there were 57 states, Bush didn't actually think "Is our children learning?" was grammatically sound, their mouths just moved faster than their brains that day. Happens to all of us, no big deal.

The thing is, the things Trump says are actually phenomenally dumb. They're not just slips of the tongue (though he has plenty of those too, along with misspellings on Twitter), they're things like "I had the biggest electoral college victory since Reagan" which is simply wrong (and which he then followed up with a clarification - "I just meant among Republican presidents" - which was also wrong), or "Barack Obama's birth certificate is fake!". Statements like these show that actual thought went into making them, which makes them infinitely more disturbing than Bush or Obama's quotes.

I expect Zeus to shut down every point you made in a vain attempt to stroke his Senpai Trump into blowing a gross, orange, cheesy load('cause he's a cheeto) on his face.

"Well, Obama did THIS, YOU COULDN'T TELL WHAT HE WAS SAYING THEN!" and blah blah blah blah
