"Affect" also has a noun definition (expressed emotional state, pronounced with a hard A), and "effect" also has a verb definition (to bring about or facilitate). They're less common than their counterparts (the noun definition for "affect" in particular is largely just used as a medical/psychiatric term), but still quite valid, and a fantastic way to trip up amateur grammar police. The effect of your efforts to affect my word choice has been to effect a particularly jovial affect as I laugh at you. In this particular case, either "affect" or "effect" could be used, but I feel "effect" fits better with the specific wording Zang used. If it were reworded (to, perhaps, "if there's anything large enough on this world to affect the global climate, it's my dick"), "affect" might be a better choice, but I'd definitely go with "effect." --- This is my signature.
