there's a really popular character who has my name and it does feel a bit weird at times.

Erika is great

A popular character in Umineko with your name, or in fiction in general? I mean, just cuz you're screen name says Maria doesn't mean I'm going to assume your name is Maria. But now I am curious~

Oh, you can change the sprites anytime? I didn't know that. That's neat.

About that name, that's kinda funny x) There aren't that many fictional Erika that I know of, but I see what you mean. My name is quite rare in fiction thankfully (?).

Yeah, we can swap the sprites between the PS3 sprites and the original Ryukishi sprites. We can also change the text from the new Steam translation to the original Japanese, which comes in handy occasionally when we want to see what the original text said. I know a smidgin of Japanese. It's more of a curiosity thing to me. For instance, when we want to see how certain characters write their name or if I'm curious about the kanji in a certain word.

There are a handful more Erikas in anime since my name is common in Japan, despite traditionally being through of as having Scandinavian origins. Off the top of my head, there's an Erika in Durarara, Pretty Cure, Girls und Panzer, Strike Witches, Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji, Kaichou wa Maid Sama, and a gym leader in Pokemon.

Raka, aren't you from Malaysia or Indonesia or someplace like that? I don't even know what sorts of names are from those places.
