It's not legal nitpicking. It's legal definition.

"Rape is unlawful sexual intercourse or any other sexual penetration of the vagina, anus, or mouth of another person, with or without force, by a sex organ, other body part, or foreign object, without the consent of the victim." Or statutory rape.

One involves penetration. One does not.

Penetration is not required for it to be rape. Get out of the 19th century.

If a woman knocks a guy out w/ drugs and date rapes him w/ vaginal intercourse, that is rape.
If she restrains him against his will and forces sex on him, that is rape.
If she holds a knife to his throat and forces him to have sex with her, that is rape.
