He had no pre-existing heart condition as he was otherwise healthy. His heartbroken father spoke about Davis and said "Davis was a great kid and being his parent was a great honour to Heidi and me. I stand before you as a heartbroken father and hope that something good can come from this. Parents, please talk to your kids about the dangers of these energy drinks. And teenagers and students, please stop buying them. There's no reason to consume them they can be very dangerous" Coroner Watts agreed and said high consumption of caffeine products can be dangerous as it may not be a danger to everyone but that it could have deadly effects on some people and its best to only drink in small amounts. The daily recommended limit for a healthy adult is 400mg a day of caffeine which is equal to 4 cups of coffee or 10 cans of soda. Based on what Davis consumed, he had about 434mg....
