I have no idea if you'll have an IV when you wake up, it's a case by case basis. When I was out though and woke up I was so disoriented that nothing could freak me out. It's not like falling asleep/waking up. To me it felt like watching a video and it just skipped from once scene to the next.

I doubt even if you get an IV when you first wake up you'll be coherent enough to care.

Yeah that's how it was for me when I woke up. I was just suddenly awake and I was like oh am I done now?
