To me, a 10/10 game is perfection. You're telling me you've played games before they are perfect? Which ones, I'd love to play them.

10 is just "the highest rating." That's literally it. It shouldn't equate to perfection. The problem here is there's no definition of perfect. There's no metric, no standard, no quantifiable bar of measurement that games can be judged on. It's all subjective and to try to treat it objectively, especially to such a degree as having any kind of fault result in an imperfect score, is asinine.

An example, my favorite game is Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and I consider that a 10. It has all the right stuff and is a perfect video game in my eyes. However it has an easily encountered glitch that can accidentally softlock the game, forcing a reset. It's really a simple bug, a small programming oversight, but obviously the code isn't "perfect" due to it. Despite that you won't convince me to deduct an entire point off the game, that doesn't communicate anything of importance or accomplish anything.

Refusing to score any game a 10 is an exercise in vanity.
