Does everything have to be Trump with you? No, but he had recently stuck his nose in this issue and defended him, claiming he's a great guy and he did nothing wrong. Actually when Trump was asked he did say Bill shouldn't have settled. And, as much as this pains me to say, Trump is kind of right. If you are going to preach that the allegations weren't true then why settle and not fight it in court? In many cases it is cheaper to settle a case then take it to trial even if you do get proven innocent. Not everyone is a billionaire who can afford to fight every case tooth and nail like Trump. Many people believe that is why Michael Jackson settled his child sex abuse case in the 90's even though the evidence against him was rather flimsy (and why he subsequently fought the one in 05); because the settlement was insignificant compared to the money he was making at the time. --- I am a senior software engineer.
